Job Summary:

The Unit Manager I is responsible for supervising and directing clinical and/or prevention and administrative personnel. This includes scheduling and coordinating activities, conducting performance reviews, providing training, and implementing unit programming. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Education, Counseling, or a relevant field, plus licensure from a KY Board. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Two to three years of clinical experience with a supervisory background and experience with program management, including budget preparation, are necessary. Thorough knowledge of state and Joint Commission licensing requirements is also required. Good interpersonal and public speaking skills are essential. The position has no unusual physical demands and is a full-time role. • Supervise and direct clinical and/or prevention and administrative personnel
• Schedule and coordinate activities, conduct performance reviews, and provide training
• Implement unit programming, including identifying and addressing trends, and developing new programs/services
• Monitor fiscal performance of the unit and maintain accurate related documentation
• Provide public relations support for the unit's clinical programs, as relevant, to EAPs, other agencies, referral sources, and the local community
• Ensure unit activities adhere to state and Joint Commission licensure standards and participate in licensure review activities
• Identify unit training needs, develop corresponding training programs, and implement the programs
• Interview and hire new staff and handle personnel issues and grievances

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Education, Counseling, or a relevant field, plus licensure from a KY Board
• Two to three years of clinical experience with a supervisory background and experience with program management, including budget preparation
• Thorough knowledge of state and Joint Commission licensing requirements
