Job Summary

Southcentral Foundation is seeking a Community Health Aide Trainee to join our team. As a Community Health Aide Trainee, you will play a critical role in providing healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide healthcare services to patients in a community-based setting
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Meet all requirements and expectations of the Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Standards and Procedures
  • Additional qualifications for CHA I, II, III, IV, and Practitioner levels
Additional Qualifications for CHA I
  • Successful completion of the mathematic/TABE Test at the 6th Grade level
  • Successful completion of Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) or Emergency Medical Technician certification
  • Successful completion of Session I of CHA training program and passing required testing with a grade of 80 percent or better
  • Enrollment as an individual rendering provider with Alaska Medicaid
Additional Qualifications for CHA II
  • Successful completion of Session II of CHA training program and passing required testing with a grade of 80 percent or better
Additional Qualifications for CHA III
  • Successful completion of Session III of CHA training program and passing required testing with a grade of 80 percent or better
  • Preparation for and obtaining additional CHA III Medical Standing Orders (MSOs) from a consulting physician or designee
Additional Qualifications for CHA IV
  • Successful completion of Session IV of CHA training program and passing required testing with a grade of 80 percent or better
Additional Qualifications for CHA Practitioner
  • Current certification as a Practitioner by the CHA Program Certification Board (CHAPCB)
