Advanced Practice Provider

UNC Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Nephrology team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients within your scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.
Responsibilities
1. **Clinical Care**: Obtain relevant health and medical history, perform thorough physical assessments, review and interpret diagnostic tests/results, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
2. **Education**: Educate clients and/or families regarding medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up, and collaborate with clinicians, staff, and students to promote continuity and patient-centered care.
3. **Leadership**: Provide instruction to physicians, house staff, nursing, ancillaries, and/or students, and participate in community/network outreach programs.
4. **Professional Development**: Engage in daily continuous quality improvement, consult with management, and lead interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated delivery of patient care services.
5. **Quality/Research**: Develop and implement processes for improvement, initiate and revise protocols or guidelines, and work to influence policy-making bodies to improve patient care.
Requirements
• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife) in the state of North Carolina. Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
• Professional Experience Requirements: No prior experience required.
• Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Demonstrated clinical competency, effective leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
