Position Overview
Nevada State University invites applications for the role of Marketing Development Coordinator. This position is tasked with the creation and execution of marketing strategies aimed at promoting the master's degree in Nursing Leadership and other specific academic programs. The Marketing Development Coordinator will perform comprehensive research to uncover new marketing avenues and employ various marketing techniques to attract and retain students in Nursing and related degree programs. Additionally, this role will work in conjunction with Admissions & Recruitment to transform leads and applications into actual enrollments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to gather marketing and recruitment data.
- Design, plan, and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for academic programs.
- Collaborate with the agency of record to create strategies and marketing campaigns aimed at attracting students to the nursing master's degree and targeted academic programs.
- Deliver presentations to healthcare facilities and participate in healthcare/nursing-related career fairs.
- Work closely with the School of Nursing to identify key stakeholders and opportunities for generating qualified leads.
- Guide inquiries through to application completion and coordinate the transition to Admissions, Nursing, and academic advisors/coordinators.
- Organize events to showcase the new nursing master's degree and academic offerings.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in strategic marketing, communications, and digital media.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse audiences (including leadership, faculty, staff, industry representatives, alumni, and students).
- Experience in market research and data analysis, with the ability to translate complex information into clear communications for various audiences.
- Familiarity with effective recruitment strategies in higher education.
- Knowledge of data analytics methods for effectively recruiting specialized groups.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of content practices such as SEO, SMO, and PPC.
- Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience collaborating with external vendors and consultants, including the capacity to set project milestones and keep teams on schedule and within budget.
The budgeted salary for this position is $60,000. Nevada State University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 17.50% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, an initial balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, and three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
