In this role, you will work independently yet collaboratively with the Principal Investigator and fellow Research Scientists to conduct both routine and advanced laboratory techniques throughout your training. You may develop, modify, and implement innovative research methodologies and protocols. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and interpreting data, assisting in the preparation of grant applications, and contributing to publications and presentations as an author or co-author. Please note that you will not be responsible for securing grant funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in publications and presentations as an author or co-author.
- Design and execute experiments, maintaining accurate experimental records and documentation while analyzing results in conjunction with the Principal Investigator.
- Analyze, interpret, summarize, and compile research data.
- Perform both routine and advanced laboratory procedures throughout the training period.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Observe interactions between medical doctors and research subjects as they relate to ongoing research.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in a field directly related to your research specialization.
Licenses: Not applicable.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience, having acquired comprehensive technical and theoretical knowledge of the research project and objectives during a one to five (1-5) year post-doctoral appointment. Strong scientific writing and presentation skills are essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform moderate lifting.
- Capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Proficient in reading documents and online materials.
- Competent in operating standard office equipment.
- Possess the physical ability and visual acuity necessary to effectively perform essential job functions.
