Are you prepared to engage in pioneering scientific exploration?
Working autonomously yet in close collaboration with the Principal Investigator and fellow Research Scientists, the Research Associate will execute both standard and intricate laboratory techniques throughout the training phase. This role may involve the development, modification, and application of novel research methodologies and protocols. Responsibilities include data analysis and interpretation, as well as potential involvement in the drafting of grant applications. Participation in scholarly publications and presentations as an author or co-author is also expected. Note that this position does not entail the responsibility of securing grant funding.
Key Responsibilities
- May assist in drafting grant applications, but is not accountable for securing funding.
- May contribute to publications and presentations as an author or co-author.
- Designs and conducts experiments, maintaining accurate experimental records and collaborating with the Principal Investigator to analyze results.
- May develop, modify, and implement innovative research techniques and protocols.
- Analyzes, interprets, summarizes, and compiles research data.
- Performs both routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout the training period.
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and instruments.
- May observe interactions between medical professionals and research subjects as relevant to the research being conducted.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
- Doctorate Degree (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in a field directly related to the area of research specialization is required.
Experience Background:
- At least one (1) year of experience, gained through technical and theoretical knowledge of research projects and objectives during one (1) to five (5) years of post-doctoral training.
- Ability to independently manage research projects designed by a mentor (typically the Principal Investigator) within the area of specialization.
