Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our food service program in a senior living community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality, nutritious meals that promote the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement weekly menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents
- Maintain an adequate inventory of food and supplies from approved vendors
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with nutritional guidelines and regulations
- Present food in an appetizing and attractive manner
- Ensure that food is delivered on time and in a pleasant manner
- Visit with residents at each meal and ensure quality of service
- Prepare food and coordinate food service for special events as requested
- Encourage residents to participate in the food service program and provide a forum for their input
- Provide educational opportunities for staff and residents
- Review and implement procedures for food handling and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Supervise food service employees and ensure adequate staffing in the food service department
- Lead by example, encourage teamwork, and promote the residence philosophy
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a chef/cook
- ANSI food safety certification
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
- Friendly, caring disposition with a desire to work with older adults
- Computer proficient with in-depth experience in MS Outlook, Excel & Word
- Effective communicator with the ability to appropriately respond to needs and concerns as needed
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, special events, and holidays
