The Member Services Associate plays a crucial role in promoting and selling memberships for the pickleball club while delivering outstanding customer service to both current and prospective members.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, personable, and possess a strong passion for the sport of pickleball.Key Responsibilities:
Membership Sales
- Address inquiries from potential members and provide comprehensive information about club activities, events, and programs.
- Conduct facility tours and articulate membership options and advantages.
- Process membership applications, payments, and renewals efficiently.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials and social media content.
- Participate in community events to promote the club and attract new members.
- Work with club management to plan and promote special events, tournaments, and social gatherings.
Front Desk Management:
Manage member check-ins, answer phone calls, and respond to emails.
- Schedule court reservations and oversee court availability.
- Assist with equipment rentals and retail sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and social areas.
- Provide information regarding club events, programs, and tournaments.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling private lessons and clinics.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate closely with the club management team to ensure seamless club operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ambassador Role:
- Ensure all members enjoy a personalized experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the courts, social area, member lounge, food & beverage area, and locker room.
- Assist in managing open play, leagues, and events.
- Support and help with ball machine rental usage.
- Greet and bid farewell to members and guests with a friendly demeanor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred. 1-2 years of sales or customer service experience, ideally in a sports or fitness setting. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A passion for pickleball and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move quickly around the facility to assist members and guests. This position offers full-time or part-time opportunities, with potential for growth and advancement within the organization.
The Member Services Associate will report to the Club General Manager and collaborate closely with other staff members to ensure an exceptional customer experience for all members and guests.
