The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Staff Physician to join our team in the Division of Medical Oncology. As a key member of our team, you will provide medical care to patients with malignant cancers, including outpatient care, on-call coverage, and weekend/rotations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive medical treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural domains.
- Perform physical assessments of patients in a logical and respectful manner.
- Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
- Gather essential and accurate information through the review of pertinent records and interviews with patients, family members, caregivers, and other health professionals.
- Report to the responsible physician and comply with policy co-sign.
- Assume responsibility for increasing knowledge and expertise by attending continuing educational offerings.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state guidelines and regulations.
- Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
- M.D. in a relevant field required.
- Board certification and/or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology is required.
- Certification in a relevant specialty or field required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience required.
