Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Overhaul Equipment: Assist in the repair and overhaul of refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide General Repair Work: Perform general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Provide preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies of mechanical equipment.
  • Test and Troubleshoot: Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain legible corporate and personal records of work history.
  • Department Support: Provide department support by processing job tickets and work orders to the necessary department promptly.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: EPA certification and certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school (plus).
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
  • Skills: Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes, and ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
