Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse on our Brain Health Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, you will utilize your skills and knowledge to develop and implement individualized nursing care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and communication
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current LPN license in the state of Maryland
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a brain health or geriatric unit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
