Job Overview

I.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Technician is responsible for validating incoming materials by verifying specifications through visual inspections and measurement tests, ensuring that only acceptable materials are approved. This role also involves monitoring in-process production to confirm adherence to quality standards and communicating necessary adjustments to the Quality and Production Supervisors.

II.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Validate the quality of incoming materials.

· Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with drawing specifications.

· Perform data entry tasks using TQS.

· Execute quality audits in both Assembly and Mill departments.

· Approve in-process production and manage the return of products for rework; confirm the completion of rework.

· Carry out first article inspections.

· Conduct bi-weekly quality audits on FA Packs and FG Cabinets.

· Document inspection findings by completing necessary reports and logs.

· Maintain daily updates on quality boards.

· Uphold safety and quality standards consistently.

· Participate actively in Quality, Safety, and Production meetings.

· Foster effective communication with all Quality and Production team members.

· Report directly to the Quality Lead/Supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Experience:

Previous work experience in a related field is required.

Skills:

Must possess the ability to understand and follow instructions accurately.

Must be capable of assessing and prioritizing workload effectively.

Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

IV.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Typical Environment:

The role is situated in a manufacturing warehouse setting characterized by constant noise.

Equipment Utilized:

This includes computers, keyboards, mice, software, phones, and other necessary equipment.

Tools such as calipers, metric tapes, and pro-scales are also employed.

Physical Requirements:

The position involves frequent standing, walking, sitting, and requires good eye/hand/foot coordination.

Continuous communication through talking and listening is essential.

Occasional lifting, carrying, reaching, and handling of materials is expected.
