Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to achieve exceptional performance and presentation.
  • Write and manage schedules, evaluate, and direct personnel to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain open communication with management and associates to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide kitchen staff with necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Take immediate action to resolve kitchen issues and ensure food quality and safety.
  • Participate in department meetings, staff meetings, and kitchen inventory to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef and provide guidance, aid, and counsel to all kitchen associates.
  • Ensure payroll hours are submitted on a timely basis.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to train and develop kitchen staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
