Key Responsibilities- Train and develop kitchen staff to achieve exceptional performance and presentation.
- Write and manage schedules, evaluate, and direct personnel to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Maintain open communication with management and associates to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide kitchen staff with necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties efficiently.
- Take immediate action to resolve kitchen issues and ensure food quality and safety.
- Participate in department meetings, staff meetings, and kitchen inventory to drive business growth and improvement.
- Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Executive Chef and provide guidance, aid, and counsel to all kitchen associates.
- Ensure payroll hours are submitted on a timely basis.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to train and develop kitchen staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
