Role: Paraprofessional

Work Schedule Options: Part-time: 8:30 am - 3 pm (Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday); Full-Time: 8:30 am - 3 pm (Monday - Friday)

Compensation: Part-Time: $17 - $20 per hour (additional compensation for experienced candidates); Full-Time: $30,000 annual salary (with potential for increased pay based on experience)


RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PARAPROFESSIONAL

As a Paraprofessional at Potential Inc., you will collaborate closely with special education teachers, providing support to students in a private educational setting. Your role will involve one-on-one interaction with students, assisting them in areas such as communication, behavior management, daily living skills, vocational training, community engagement, social skills, and academic support tailored to each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Our students often face challenges in traditional educational environments and may exhibit difficult behaviors or have additional medical diagnoses that affect their learning. Your contributions will significantly enhance their quality of life.

This position is ideal for individuals aspiring to careers in education, occupational therapy, speech therapy, childcare, healthcare, or psychology, particularly those who excel in personalized, one-on-one interactions and wish to witness the positive impact they have on students' lives.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE GAINED IN THIS ROLE

Upon completion of training, you will be prepared to work with children with diverse needs, implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs in accordance with each client's tailored treatment plan, integrate feedback from Special Education Teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) into future sessions, ensure client safety and confidentiality, and accurately document client interactions through data collection, session notes, and service logs.
