Role: Paraprofessional
Work Schedule Options:
- Part-Time: 8:30 am - 3 pm (Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
- Full-Time: 8:30 am - 3 pm (Monday - Friday)
Compensation:
- Part-Time Pay: $17 - $20 base rates (additional compensation for experienced candidates)
- Full-Time Pay: $30,000 base salary (additional compensation for experienced candidates)
ROLE OF A PARAPROFESSIONAL
As a Paraprofessional at Potential Inc., you will work under the guidance of special education teachers, providing support to students with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include one-on-one assistance with communication, behavior management, daily living activities, vocational skills, community instruction, social skills, and academic support tailored to each student's individualized education plan (IEP). Our students often face challenges in traditional educational settings, and your role will be crucial in enhancing their learning experiences.
This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to pursue careers in education, occupational therapy, speech therapy, childcare, healthcare, or psychology, particularly those who thrive in personalized, impactful interactions with students.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE GAINED
Upon completion of training, you will be equipped to:
- Support children with varying needs effectively
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs in accordance with individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with Special Education Teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to enhance future sessions
- Ensure client safety and confidentiality
- Document client interactions accurately, including data collection, session notes, and service logs
