The estimated annual salary for this position is $98,600 - $110,200, depending on location. This competitive compensation package reflects our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the field of student engagement and advocacy.

Job Description

\

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager, Student Advocacy to lead our Student Engagement team in developing and implementing strategies to engage high school and college students in SCAN's political advocacy campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of grassroots organizing and advocacy experience, with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups of volunteers and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing comprehensive training programs for students to enhance their advocacy skills and knowledge\
  • Leading strategic planning and goal setting for the Student Engagement team to align with SCAN's overall objectives and priorities\
  • Fostering cross-team collaboration and partnerships with other SCAN teams and departments to ensure integration and alignment of student engagement efforts\
  • Managing departmental resources and platforms to support program objectives\
  • Serving as a key liaison between SCAN and external partners, including universities and community organizations\
  • Providing regular progress updates and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders\
  • Contributing to the development of evaluation plans, tools, and data collection methods to assess the impact of the Student Engagement Program\
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies\
  • Maintaining accurate records and files related to program activities and outcomes\

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

\
  • \
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 7 years of relevant experience in grassroots organizing and/or advocacy campaigns\
  • Professional experience working with diverse groups of volunteers both in online and offline settings\
  • Experience working on local, state, or federal advocacy or political campaigns\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels\
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously\
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform program decisions\
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software applications\
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging\
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written\
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, with occasional evening and weekend work required\
