We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Documentation Specialist to join our team at Gaumard Scientific. This role offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Medical Documentation Specialist will be responsible for accurately documenting and transcribing medical information, procedures, treatments, and latest evidence-based guidelines. You will also be involved in organizing and maintaining accurate healthcare simulator assessment information, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays or extended hours as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately document and transcribe medical information, procedures, treatments, and latest evidence-based guidelines.
  • Organize and maintain accurate healthcare simulator assessment information, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Enter and record medical information during simulator assessments, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the testing and evaluation of simulation prototypes by accurately documenting and recording valuable medical and assessment information.
  • Collaborate with members of the team to facilitate effective communication and documentation.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards regarding confidentiality, privacy, and data security within the context of healthcare simulation.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a medical assistant program or similar.
  • At least 1 year of medical secretary experience.
  • Active CMAA credentials.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Experience working with simulation products is a plus.
