**Job Summary:**

The Medical Operations Specialist will support the Panel Management Analytics platform, which is crucial for managing patient panels for primary care providers within a value-based care framework. This role requires hands-on data entry, a deep understanding of primary care operations, and knowledge of insurance processes for assigned members. The specialist will play a vital role in ensuring accurate, up-to-date information in the panel management system, supporting efficient workflows, and providing insightful data analysis to optimize patient care management.

  • Data Entry and Management: Accurately input and maintain patient data within the panel management platform to support the assignment and reassignment of primary care providers, ensuring information is current and complete.
  • Panel Management Administration: Oversee the platform that manages primary care patient panels, adjusting records as needed based on patient demographics, health needs, and insurance requirements.
  • Primary Care and Insurance Coordination: Understand and apply primary care operations, insurance processes, and value-based care principles in day-to-day tasks. This includes managing member assignments and familiarizing with insurance protocols that impact panel management.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Use data analysis skills to interpret patient panel data, identify trends, and generate insights that aid in strategic decision-making. Prepare reports for leadership to highlight areas for improvement in patient care and panel management.
  • Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with the Optimization and Operations teams to identify inefficiencies and implement workflow improvements that align with value-based care goals.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between panel management, primary care providers, and various departments to ensure cohesive operations. Regularly communicate updates, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.

**Requirements:**

  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, with a strong focus on generating actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel Proficiency: Comfortable with data manipulation, pivot tables, and basic formula usage in Excel for reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Basic understanding of primary care operations, patient care workflows, and value-based care principles. Familiarity with insurance processes is highly preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong data entry skills with an eye for accuracy to ensure information integrity within the panel management platform.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly and liaise effectively with healthcare providers and internal teams.
  • Adaptability: Ability to function independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Collaborative Approach: Works well within a cross-functional team environment and can build relationships across departments.

**Compensation:** $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
