Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Front Desk Agent at Howard Johnson I-Drive. This position is crucial in delivering outstanding service to our guests, ensuring a seamless experience during their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing guest arrivals and departures, including check-ins and check-outs
  • Processing payments and handling billing inquiries
  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of hotel policies and available services
  • Addressing guest questions and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Assisting in emergency situations with professionalism
  • Ensuring the lobby and shared spaces are tidy and welcoming
  • Working collaboratively with team members to enhance guest satisfaction

Core Duties:

  • Greeting guests and allocating rooms efficiently
  • Verifying payment details and processing transactions
  • Providing insights on hotel features and nearby attractions
  • Keeping accurate records of room availability and guest accounts
  • Managing basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Facilitating the check-in and check-out processes
  • Maintaining cleanliness in common areas
  • Assisting with laundry and other operational tasks
  • Reporting maintenance needs to management
  • Overseeing inventory as needed
  • Taking on Manager-on-Duty responsibilities when required
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Capability to handle various objects and tools
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to bend, kneel, and crouch as necessary
  • Exposure to diverse weather conditions and cleaning agents
