Job Title: Neuroscience Director of Research

Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City is actively seeking a qualified Neuroscience Director of Research to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Co-Directors of the Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute and the Office of Research Services to develop the vision for the Institute and direct a major research program.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provides strategic planning and oversight to a major research program
• Collaborates with the Office of Research Services and Research Compliance Business Partner to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and internal regulations and standards
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external sources, including other departments, research institutions, sponsors, funding sources, and the scientific and research community
• Works with the Office of Research Services to ensure the implementation of research-related policies and procedures
• Provides mentorship support to neuroscience clinician investigators, staff, and trainees

Qualifications:
• MD/DO degree in addition to a PhD in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Neuroscience-related field
• 6-10 years of experience in conducting and managing large and/or complex research projects or programs
• Established national or international reputation as a leader in a neuroscience research-related field
• Track record of research productivity, including presentations at national and international conferences, peer-reviewed publications, and extramural funding
• Associate Professor or higher academic rank or commensurate rank from an alternate career position
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire a diverse team and foster a collaborative culture
