- Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on Kongsberg control systems.
- Interpret technical drawings and control system layouts.
- Demonstrate proficiency in PC skills, including networking and troubleshooting.
- Utilize multimeters and software tools for diagnosing communication or loop errors.
- Possess knowledge of Power Management Systems, including generators and governor control for main engines.
- Work with AC/DC electrical motors.
- Modify or enhance control logic as necessary.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, 232, 422, 485, and TCP/IP.
- Timely completion and submission of timesheets and expense reports.
- Take ownership of assigned cases and service assignments.
- Propose enhancements to products and communicate needs to the Service Manager or product department.
- Advise customers on potential upgrades and new product offerings during onboard visits.
- Implement measures to prevent errors in our service delivery.
- Assist Aftermarket Sales with quotations for aftersales services.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of fundamental Electrical/Electronic control system principles, including PID controllers and communication protocols.
- Ability to create and understand technical documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting low voltage electrical components and using multimeters.
- Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems and their architecture is preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Possess a valid passport.
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel on short notice, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, both domestically and internationally.
- Proactive and responsible, able to drive initiatives and accept accountability for outcomes.
- Capable of influencing and persuading others effectively.
