CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of medical supplies and equipment across our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize automated inventory control systems to manage the ordering, receiving, and stocking of medical supplies and equipment.
- Restock supplies daily and rotate inventory to maintain accurate levels, generating orders and requisitions as needed.
- Distribute medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, monitoring par levels to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs through par level manipulation, reorder points, and holding costs.
- Return excess inventory and process credits.
- Notify supervisors of outdated or slow-moving inventory.
- Participate in the put-away and validation process of perpetual inventory items.
- Issue and credit materials from the inventory management system.
- Maintain clean and orderly stock locations, labeling bins and handling requests to change pars.
- Act as liaison between clinical staff and supply chain management as needed.
- Work with buyers and Divisional Inventory Coordinator to pull relevant products in the event of recalls.
Requirements:
- One year of supply chain-related experience or other relevant experience.
