Plant Equipment Improvement Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve equipment and personnel issues, recurring problems, and develop new equipment and procedures to improve plant operations.
- Project Management: Design and oversee manufacturing improvement projects, including line and process flow enhancements.
- Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate closely with the maintenance supervisor to develop and manage daily maintenance schedules.
- Budget and Inventory Management: Oversee project-related purchasing, inventory, and budget control. Prepare funding proposals for capital projects.
- Equipment Upgrades: Plan and supervise equipment installation and upgrades, ensuring compliance with plant specifications.
- Design and Communication: May supervise the preparation of drawings, plans, and specifications for parts and installations, and coordinate with machine shops to ensure precision in parts manufacturing.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Special Projects: Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in a plant or industry-specific role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced mathematical concepts and the ability to apply these in a technical context. Familiarity with operating personal computers and necessary equipment.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working in varying environmental conditions.
- Work Environment: Exposure to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, and moderate to loud noise.

The estimated salary for this position is between $110k-130k annually. This is an exempt level position.
