Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Craftsman to install machinery and equipment in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience and hold NCCER Certification/License. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, dismantling machines, moving equipment, assembling shafting, and operating engine lathes.

Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for Installing machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in the industrial establishment.
  2. Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
  3. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  4. Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
  5. Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
  6. Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools
  7. Construct foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement and steel
  8. Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs
  9. Assemble machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures using hand and power tools
  10. Operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
  11. Repair and lubricate machines and equipment
  12. Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved
  13. Attach pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms using bolts and clamps
  14. Attach load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes and chains, to crane hook
  15. Set up, brace and rig hoisting equipment's using hand tools and power wrenches
  16. Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle
  17. May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment
  18. May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • NCCER Certification/License (preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in millwright role
