Job Overview
Position Summary:

As a Vehicle CAD Model Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and precision of the vehicle CAD model. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the model's accuracy and adherence to best practices in design and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Oversee the overall condition of the vehicle CAD model, ensuring it remains error-free and compliant with established modeling standards.

2. Manage the product structure of the vehicle CAD model, ensuring alignment with production plans.

3. Maintain the vehicle engineering bill of materials, ensuring the electronic Bill of Materials (eBOM) is accurately constructed and corresponds with the CAD data.

4. Identify and rectify discrepancies within the vehicle CAD model, including missing or duplicate components.

5. Conduct audits of part and assembly attributes to confirm correct assignments, collaborating with teams to address any missing or incorrect information.

6. Reconcile variances between the Master Equipment List and the CAD model, assisting in the accurate assignment of mass properties within the CAD framework.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting.
• Proficiency in CAD software, with a preference for Creo.
• Experience in managing large assemblies within a CAD environment.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools, preferably Windchill.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work atmosphere.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of top-down design methodologies.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Understanding of Configuration Management practices.
• Background in spacecraft integration and testing.
