Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating safety risks, conducting site inspections, and providing training and technical support to our construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily site walks to identify and document safety risks and discrepancies
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and technical support to construction teams on safety procedures and protocols
  • Investigate and report on accidents, injuries, and near-misses to ensure timely and compliant resolutions
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective action plans to address safety concerns
  • Participate in daily and weekly meetings to ensure all necessary safety equipment is ordered, stocked, and available for upcoming work
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Health and Safety or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of construction or safety experience required
  • Strong knowledge of construction site equipment, methods, and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
