Realta Fusion, Inc. is revolutionizing the world with cutting-edge fusion energy systems, and we're seeking a passionate and skilled Community and Government Relations Manager to join our team in Madison, WI.

We're targeting the need to decarbonize industrial process heat as the fastest path to full-scale deployment of our technology. Our mission is to address the biggest challenge of our time - tackling global climate change while ensuring a sufficient energy supply for at least ten billion people on (and off) earth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the development of a local, regional, and national fusion ecosystem, coordinating private sector and public sector allies, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders. They will support and manage collaborations and joint initiatives to increase public awareness of and support for fusion energy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting the development of a local, regional, and national fusion ecosystem, coordinating private sector and public sector allies, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders.
  • Creating and delivering Realta Fusion's Community Benefit Plan, organizing and planning events, and interfacing Realta with local, regional, and federal agencies.
  • Representing Realta in work with trade organizations, state and federal government agencies, including the Department of Energy, and coordinating responses to state and federal Requests for Information (RFIs) and Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs).
  • Planning and executing communication campaigns to promote Realta's mission and progress, interfacing with collaborators and vendors as needed.
  • Scheduling, creating, and managing recurring and one-off communications, including social media, website, multimedia content, graphics, events, blog posts, emailers, press releases, presentation materials, and others as needed.

Required qualifications include:

  • Education: BS (+ 5 years experience) in public relations, political science, or a related field (such as communications).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, public presentation).
  • Expert at drafting and editing publications and documents in standard office applications (i.e. M365) and Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, and results-driven start-up environment.

Estimated salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
