Accounting Analyst Sr Job Description

As a seasoned Accounting Analyst Sr, you will leverage your expertise to drive financial decision-making and external reporting. You will lead and mentor others in preparing and reviewing financial information, utilizing your experience, innovation, and judgment to tackle complex assignments.

Your work will be challenging, yet rewarding, as you apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to handle sophisticated business transactions, account reconciliations, and audit requirements. You will also supervise external vendor processes, review new projects, and communicate with company partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with others to identify, review, and research issues impacting accounting data accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and respond to reports, ad hoc requests, and analyses.
  • Analyze complex business transactions and account reconciliations.
  • Supervise external vendor processes and review new projects for accurate accounting setup.
  • Facilitate audit requirements for outside auditors and lead or participate in accounting-related projects.
  • Communicate and coordinate with company partners and work with significant amounts of detailed data.

Education and Experience:

  • Accountant II: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum two years' experience in energy industry accounting.
  • Accounting Sr: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum four years' experience in related energy industry accounting.
  • Accounting Analyst Sr: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum six years of multifaceted experience in a related field.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills, prioritizing safety.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Ability to understand and work with sophisticated processes and computerized accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial accounting skills, including consolidation.
