Financial Reporting Analyst Role

Vitol is a leading energy company with a presence across the globe. Our Financial Reporting Analysts play a vital role in our accounting and finance organization, serving as experts on the financial health and performance of our legal entities in the Americas.

As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting investment and deal teams in new business integration and sales processes. You will engage in discussions with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and monitor/improve financial controls. You will also perform the accounting month-end close processes for various legal entities and regularly engage with accounting teams in all North and South America offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly engage with accounting teams in all North and South America offices
  • Perform monthly/quarterly analyses to be reviewed by the CEO and Senior Management team to aid in decision making
  • Support the annual external audit process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
  • CPA license
  • Prior Big 4 audit experience (2 busy seasons) preferred
  • Exposure to commodities trading is preferred
