About Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing

Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing is a welcoming, secure residence that provides skilled nursing care and assistance with daily living. Our goal is to honor individuality and respect the privacy of our residents.

We offer a home-like environment with accommodations for 98 people, licensed by the state of Vermont and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. Our skilled and intermediate care residence specializes in providing a supportive atmosphere for our residents.

Long-Term Care Unit

In addition to our many specialized services, Helen Porter continues to build upon our 30-year tradition of high-quality long-term care services. Our long-term care residents receive nursing care and assistance with daily living, as well as programs and activities tailored to their abilities and needs.

Memory Care Unit

The Memory Care Unit is designed to meet the changing needs of individuals with dementia. Our early-stage program offers activity-based care in a warm, supportive, and safe environment, with a primary goal of helping individuals maintain dignity, purpose, and functional ability.

Post Acute Care Unit

The goal of the Post Acute Unit at Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing is to provide supportive, goal-directed care following surgery and/or hospitalization. Specially designed treatment programs enable patients to return home as quickly as possible, reaching their highest possible level of independence.

Routine Therapy services are provided Monday through Friday. We also have the capability of providing therapy six days a week if required to maximize positive results. Nursing staff provide the necessary extension of therapies when therapy staff are not present.

We are currently seeking two nurses to join our Post Acute Care Unit:

  • 24 hours per pay period, 6:45 p.m. - 11:15 p.m. (6, 4-hour shifts/2-week pay period)
  • 24 hours per pay period, 6:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m. (2, 12-hour shifts/2-week pay period)

Incentives: Up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus, Hourly Shift Differential: $3 Eve, $5 Night, $2 Weekend
