About the Role

">

As an Assistant, In-School Suspension, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Providing individualized support and guidance to students assigned to in-school suspension.">
  • Assisting with lesson planning and instructional activities to ensure students meet their academic goals.">
  • Maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.">
  • Collaborating with teachers and school administrators to develop and implement strategies that support student success.">
  • Monitoring student behavior and reporting any concerns or incidents to school officials.">
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as conflict resolution, classroom management, and student support.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred.">
  • At least 2 years of experience working with students in a educational setting.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.">
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.">
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.">
  • Familiarity with child development principles and practices.">
  • Basic knowledge of special education laws and regulations.">
  • First Aid and CPR certification.">
