Position Summary:


The Clinical Nurse Specialist is accountable for delivering both direct and indirect nursing care to patients aged 18 years and older, who are facing complex medical conditions, general medical-surgical issues, and require rehabilitation or wound care.

This role includes overseeing and guiding all patient care activities during the assigned shift. The Clinical Nurse Specialist demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills to implement the nursing process effectively. Adherence to established nursing standards is essential. The role involves supervising and delegating patient care responsibilities to LVN/LPN or CNA and other team members. Collaboration with physicians and staff from various departments is encouraged. The Clinical Nurse Specialist also considers the age of patients when performing any task.

Compensation:
$40 / hr

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance guidelines, as well as hospital policies
  • Proficient in applying professional standards of practice in various job scenarios
  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities
  • Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software applications (e.g., order entry, data input)
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an ICU setting is preferred.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Preferably two or more years of experience in acute care or rehabilitation as a registered nurse

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • A Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice, in good standing, in the state of employment
  • Must maintain current CPR certification throughout employment
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment
  • If working in ICU, current ACLS is required upon hire and throughout employment
