Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate imaging equipment, including X-ray, CT, and MRI machines, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of imaging protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient imaging.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Valid New York State license to practice as a radiologic technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in radiologic technology.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and imaging software.
