Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing medically prescribed MRI procedures under the general direction of a radiologist and supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, ensuring patient comfort and maintaining an ongoing rapport throughout the procedure.
  • Position patients and MRI equipment appropriately to obtain maximum information, using identifying markers and following accepted MRI procedures.
  • Review patient information sheets, consider various protocols, and determine positioning and technique to ensure high-quality images.
  • Assist physicians as needed during procedures, perform transmission and/or segmentation for transmission to PACS, and generate high-quality hard copies of images when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of radiographic areas, prepare equipment and supplies in advance, and recognize medical emergencies, notifying nurse, PA, and/or MD immediately.
Requirements
  • Education: 2 years of experience
  • Licensure: Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification in New York State, ARRT Primary Certification/Registration, New York State License, Radiologic technology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Advanced ARRT Certification in MRI, BLS Certification
