Job Title: Solution Engineer

Department: Presales

Reports to: Founder

Hours: This position is based upon a 40-hour workweek and includes a variable commission component

Summary: Presales Leader LLC is currently seeking a skilled Solution Engineer to join our presales team. The ideal candidate will possess effective presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills, and high situational fluency. Experience with ERP systems like Sage Intacct, Acumatica, or NetSuite is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Within Sales Process with Partners:
    • Qualification:
      • Conduct prospect discovery sessions with Presales Leader's customer sales rep or
      • Assist in the qualification of budget and functionality
      • Complete RFP's when applicable
  • Discovery:
    • Perform deeper dive discovery sessions and touchpoints
    • Prepare a blueprint for the solution
  • Demo Preparation:
    • Assist in the coordination of ISV solutions as related to active sales opportunities, specifically
    • Prepare for and conduct Acumatica product presentations, primarily
    • With training and experience, we hope this candidate will learn to also participate in prospects who require:
      • Manufacturing
      • Financial Management
  • Proposal:
    • Assist in the development of the Statement of Work
    • Assist Sales Rep or Customer Account Manager in preparing and presenting software pricing
  • Closing:
    • Perform any product specific follow-ups between the demonstration and close
  • Project Kick-Off:
    • Host internal sales to consulting handoff to transition projects from the sales team to the consulting team

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; 4 Year degree preferred
  • Experience: One to two years experience in sales and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Language Skills: Should possess the ability to create, read and interpret (in English) documents, including business letters and manuals, reports and technical data. Should also be able to speak effectively (good diction) before small groups of employees and clients (both in person and via telephone)

Reasoning Ability:

  • The ability to identify and collect information relevant to the client's needs
  • Use knowledge, resources and training to convey possible solutions
  • Selects the best course of action by identifying all the alternatives and then makes logical assumptions

Working Conditions:

  • This position will generally work under normal office working conditions
