Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the Division Director of Energy Services, the Case Management Specialist plays a crucial role in aiding clients to identify suitable energy enhancement services for the long term. This position entails the management and oversight of client relationships, programs, and case management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive case management.
  • Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized energy service enhancement strategies.
  • Assist clients in navigating applications, complete necessary paperwork for support and subsidies, and advocate on their behalf.
  • Maintain thorough client records.
  • Ensure precise documentation of service objectives and outcomes, adhering to program and agency standards.
  • Keep up-to-date client-related data and case notes in the required data management system.
  • Prepare reports related to case management, including outcomes, challenges, and successes.
  • Conduct home visits and follow up with clients.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate each client's progress in their energy services plan, making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Provide support and referral services.
  • Facilitate financial assistance by directing clients to relevant programs.
  • Organize and lead educational workshops.
  • Engage in community outreach, which may involve evening and weekend commitments.
  • Ensure adherence to all agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, education, communications, or a related field, or five years of experience serving low-income populations.
  • Familiarity with energy programs and energy-saving initiatives is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in developing energy plans for clients and case management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in database management.
  • Commitment to delivering effective client service and demonstrating initiative.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Capable of interacting with a diverse clientele in a high-volume office setting.
  • Completion of a suitable CORI & SORI within the first thirty days of employment is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to effectively engage with individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities, to support the agency's mission of fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Additional Information:

Supervisory Role: None

Travel Requirements: Local travel may be necessary.

Physical Requirements: This role involves regular sitting, walking, and standing, along with repetitive hand movements for standard office tasks. Occasional kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment: This position is based in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
