Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:


As a Concrete Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all phases of commercial concrete construction projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Managing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure of concrete construction projects.
  • Supervising and coordinating the efforts of construction personnel, subcontractors, and support staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Preparing and presenting budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking documentation.
  • Conducting inspections of work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinating project activities with other construction operations.
  • Managing the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Addressing work-related issues and recommending strategies to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Training and mentoring team members, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and excellence.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess the following:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent capacity within the concrete construction sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of concrete construction methodologies, equipment, materials, and safety practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a proven ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving project objectives.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and technology.
  • A solid understanding of construction laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control project expenses.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary.
