Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level maintenance and repair services for our industrial equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical systems, including doors, docks, fans, pumps, and other equipment.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections and perform required actions, such as lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes.
  • Assist in the movement of machines, fixtures, materials, and equipment as needed.
  • Respond to and resolve work orders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Safely perform maintenance and repair tasks, adhering to proper safety guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or commercial environment.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet or higher, using aerial lifts or scissor lifts.
  • Valid driver's license (may be required for certain job duties).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with facility mechanical equipment operation, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on facility-related equipment.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, and millwright-related work (a plus).
  • Basic electricity knowledge (a plus).
Working Conditions
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel during shift.
  • Ability to walk throughout the plant during shift.
