Job Summary:

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture and pack bread products. This is a floating position that will support different shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan weekly production and packing schedules in conjunction with the Materials Management department based on master scheduling and inventory policies.
  • Responsible for completing production and packing weekly employee schedules based on the production schedule and packing needs.
  • Provide training for production and packaging personnel to ensure they can carry out their work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Develop and update procedures related to the processes.
  • Review and update SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures) with production and packaging personnel, minimum once per year or as needed.
  • In conjunction with quality assurance staff, inspect and measure products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement changes in working conditions and use of equipment to improve production methods, equipment performance, and efficiency.
  • Develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a supervisor immediately.
  • Manage production and packing departments within budgeted guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years of related bakery or food manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as production schedules, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Shift: 3rd Shift

Salary Range: $66,500 - $79,000

The final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed in this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.
