Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Intelligence Lead to support the Assault Breaker II (ABII) program for the Department of Defense. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in merging emerging technologies with innovative war-fighting constructs to tackle challenges in contested environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide a team of intelligence professionals toward fostering a culture of strategic thinking and innovation.
  • Assess international situations, formulate strategic solutions that carry weight in broader policy decisions, and lead empirical research to test working hypotheses and guide policy directions.
  • Develop and oversee policies to ensure compliance with national intelligence requirements and organizational goals.
  • Manage the development of significant intelligence studies and assignments that deeply impact the intelligence community.
  • Spearhead administrative reforms in intelligence collection, production, and dissemination.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
  • Total salary varies depending on location of position.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period.

Qualifications

For qualifications determinations, it is recommended that applicants include their months and hours worked per week for each employment listed on their resume. If a determination is not able to be made about the length of your creditable experience for qualification requirements, you will be removed from consideration.

You may qualify at the NH-4 (GS-14/15) level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-III (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates:
  • Experience utilizing knowledge of United States Government (USG) intelligence processes, a deep understanding of the operational environment, and the ability to synchronize the intelligence enterprise effectively.
  • Experience demonstrating familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD) and a comprehensive understanding of component missions and functions.
  • Experience utilizing knowledge of component relationships with Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), the Military Departments, Defense Agencies, and other Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) components.
  • Experience leading and directing intelligence teams, collaborating with and driving requirements for the Intelligence Community (IC), the Services, and other DOD organizations.
  • Experience with all source intelligence activities required to support joint warfighting sensor-to-shooter processes.
  • Experience utilizing managerial judgment and conflict resolution methodologies to solve problems and make sound decisions.
  • Experience summarizing independent expert assessments to executive-level forums attended by political appointees and career Senior Executive Service (SES) leaders.
  • Experience communicating findings and recommendations clearly to ensure all participants understand supporting and opposing views thoroughly.
  • Experience utilizing knowledge of weapons development/acquisition and support processes.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
