Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill patient care responsibilities, including:
    • Organizing patient flow with front office staff
    • Conducting patient interviews
    • Collecting vital signs
    • Preparing patients for exams or treatments
    • Collecting specimens, including venipuncture
    • Administering medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations
    • Communicating with patients and their families/caregivers
  • Fulfill clerical responsibilities, including:
    • Managing patient medical records
    • Coordinating patient referrals
    • Preparing forms for patients

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) certification
  • Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
