Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 to support the Cardiac Telemetry unit. This is a full-time position requiring three 12-hour night shifts each week from 7 PM to 7 AM, with schedules provided six weeks in advance.
Qualifications for Consideration:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Basic Life Support Certification within 90 Days of Hire
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting in the provision of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Delivering essential daily living nursing care, including bathing and feeding, as well as measuring vital signs and intake/output.
- Exhibiting proficiency in all required clinical skills and technologies as per Inova Health System policies.
- Completing assigned patient tasks within the designated time frame.
- Demonstrating an understanding of growth and development in caring for the assigned patient population.
- Accurately completing necessary documentation and reinforcing discharge education and home care skills.
- Communicating any changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse promptly.
- Collaborating with the Registered Nurse to develop a professional growth plan that equips the employee with the skills necessary for delivering up-to-date patient care.
- Performing additional duties as required.
