Job Title: Vice President, Chief Technology Officer

Wellmark, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology strategy and drive innovation across the organization.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the company's technology strategy, providing strategic direction and leadership to the technology team, and overseeing the development and delivery of enterprise technology platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the company's technology strategy, aligning with business objectives and goals.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the technology team, including coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of enterprise technology platforms and services, ensuring alignment with company strategy and goals.
  • Lead the organization's cloud strategy and cloud services function, driving adoption of leading cloud capabilities while optimizing cost, architecture, maturity, and security.
  • Own the technology divisions reference architecture, enterprise architecture capabilities, and engineering practices, ensuring alignment to the corporate strategy and technology strategy.
  • Provide oversight and strategic direction to leaders and global teams that lead strategic initiatives and technology operations, coaching, mentoring, and developing talent to apply business acumen to a portfolio of IT products and Epics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in strategic planning and aligning technology strategy to deliver on business objectives, with 5+ years of senior leadership experience in a complex enterprise.
  • Expertise in leveraging industry knowledge, technical expertise, and relationship building skills to quickly build rapport, credibility, and collaborative partnerships with peers, leaders, and stakeholders.
  • A humanistic approach to leadership with extensive experience in building, leading, motivating, evaluating teams and complex programs.
  • Is forward-thinking, exhibits the ability to learn quickly, advocates and leads change efforts, analyzes successes and failures for improvement opportunities, and enjoys challenges.
