Key Responsibilities
The Finance Operational Risk - Risk Management - Manager position provides you with the autonomy to shape your daily activities while working with a team that values your contributions. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the team tasked with identifying business areas that may present risks to the organization.
  • Coordinating efforts to assess the implications of identified risks on the organization.
  • Overseeing information monitoring and processes aimed at mitigating risks through thorough analysis.
  • Documenting resolutions and establishing control guidelines.
  • Guiding reviews of business strategies to make informed decisions that ensure success amidst evolving consumer behaviors and regulatory landscapes.
Qualifications

Essential Experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management and control frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating resourcefulness with minimal oversight.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships and gather information across the organization.
  • Flexibility to adapt and re-prioritize tasks as business needs evolve.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
Preferred Experience

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive change with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong consulting and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with the mortgage industry and Fannie Mae's operational practices related to risk assessments.
  • Experience in audit, controls testing, or financial services.
  • Prior experience with enterprise GRC tools such as Workiva and MetricStream.
  • Relevant certifications such as CIA or CPA.
