GeorgiaGov - Instructor Position (Patient Care Technician)

GeorgiaGov is seeking a skilled Instructor for the Patient Care Technician position within the Academic and Student Affairs division. This role is based on the main campus.

The Patient Care Technician Instructor will be tasked with educating and supervising students enrolled in the Patient Care Technician Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing effective instructional strategies along with course outlines, objectives, and goals;
  • Organizing class schedules for the Patient Care Technician program and the overall master course schedule;
  • Ensuring that program learning outcomes are achieved while adhering to established curriculum standards;
  • Preparing and delivering educational content through daily instruction;
  • Conducting appropriate testing and grading practices;
  • Exhibiting strong communication abilities and a solid understanding of Nursing procedures;
  • Assisting in student recruitment, job placement, and providing academic advising;
  • Overseeing student resources and maintaining educational facilities and laboratories;
  • Performing site evaluations to guarantee quality instruction;
  • Upholding institutional policies;
  • Participating in committees and meeting the qualification standards set by the educational system;
  • Attending necessary meetings and collaborating with students and staff;
  • Creating and reviewing program materials in accordance with approved standards;
  • Enforcing institutional policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

An Associate's Degree in Nursing, an active Registered Nurse license, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Registered Nurse with clinical exposure in a Long-Term Care Facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and over 5 years of clinical and instructional experience.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Certification in CPR from the American Heart Association;
  • Train-the-Trainer Certification;
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in Georgia;

Travel may be necessary to provide instruction at various locations or within the community.
