Position: Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Overview: Deliver compassionate personal assistance, emotional support, and essential care to clients while upholding a professional image of the organization.

Requirements:
  • Valid PCT Certification
  • Current CPR/AED & CPI certifications
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and Medicaid exclusion list verification
  • High School diploma or equivalent
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clients with daily living activities and assist with morning and evening care routines
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical, mental, or social conditions
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of care provided
  • Protect the confidentiality of clients and the organization
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions as required by the organization
  • Complete the necessary annual 12 hours of continuing education or training to retain certification
  • Engage in physical tasks that may involve climbing, lifting, walking, balancing, stooping, and handling materials
  • May assist in training new Patient Care Technicians
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
Evaluation Timeline:
  • Initial evaluation after 90 days; subsequent evaluations annually
