Job Summary

Alameda Health System is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our team at Highland General Hospital. The ideal candidate will possess a valid license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Bioanalyst in the State of California and have a minimum of one year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I with AHS or the equivalent of two years full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist working under the direction of a licensed Bioanalyst or a Pathologist.

Key Responsibilities

Maintains accurate records, including worksheets, logs, inventory lists, QC checklists, and other necessary data.
Performs preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and conducts quality control tests and calibrations on instruments used in testing procedures.
Conducts required testing of specimens following standardized procedures and policies adopted by the laboratory.
Prepares and maintains proper reagents, controls, and standards used in individual test procedures.
Receives, logs, and processes specimens as required by each area of the laboratory.
Supervises and oversees work performed by laboratory assistants and clinical laboratory trainees.

Requirements

Valid license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Bioanalyst in the State of California.
Minimum one year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I with AHS or the equivalent of two years full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist working under the direction of a licensed Bioanalyst or a Pathologist.
