Job Summary
Air Welding Department Production Team Member

Siftex Equipment Company, a leading manufacturer of flexible connectors, is seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team in South Windsor, CT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for air welding products, cutting on our Gerber automatic cutter, making accessories, and other duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Main job is to air weld products, make accessories, and cut on an automatic cutter Gerber GTXL.
  • Assist on the following processes: Making accessories, performing inventories, help cutting fabric/materials, do QC inspections, and other activities.
  • Cut experience products with scissors, round knife, hot knife, and others, a plus.
  • Help keep area organized and clean.
  • Assist Welding Operations Supervisor.
  • Assist with any project within the department.
  • Assist with any process within the department.
  • Constantly work to improving processes.
  • Make suggestions for productivity improvements.
  • Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduate from technical high school and/or community college is a plus.
  • Able to read drawings.
  • Good at math and geometry.
  • Proficiency at Microsoft Office is a must.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Team player.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
