Job Summary

The Test Technician is responsible for conducting electro-mechanical system testing to ensure adherence to performance and quality standards prior to shipment. This role performs repair estimates on current and legacy equipment, utilizing root cause driven problem solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform system integration, validation and testing of finished product prior to shipment
  • Diagnose and estimate customer machines requiring repair
  • Provide detailed feedback on how to address quality/performance issues identified during testing
  • Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry
  • Collaborate with engineering to test products, diagnose, and resolve problems that occur during assembly and repair
  • Follow and provide feedback on written procedures and test plans
  • Provide customer service support for walk-in requests for standard and custom products
  • Operate material handling devices such as overhead cranes and forklifts
  • May occasionally travel
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry training and experience, or combination of both required
  • 2 or more years of Electrical troubleshooting skills to including wiring, ac/dc power, motors, electrical drawings/schematics, and control panels required
  • GD&T experience desired. Blueprint reading competency required
  • Previous experience with auto mechanical work, professionally or hobbyist, is preferred
  • Experience with sensors: temperature, flow, pressure, voltage, current and others related to industrial manufacturing machinery preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of welding processes, machining processes, control panel wiring and coding preferred
Work Environment

The Test Technician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels. The role requires the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, crouching, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The employee is also required to operate and maneuver heavy components with material handling devices.
