Job Title: Program Manager - Residential Treatment CenterJob Summary:

OhioGuidestone is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to oversee the Residential Treatment Center in Berea, OH. The successful candidate will provide management, leadership, and supervisory oversight of the Residential Treatment Programs, working with male and female youth with emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction in program development and promotion, maintenance, and achievement of goals/compliance standards/regulatory requirements
  • Assume and maintain responsibility for the administration and programming of a cottage(s) in the residential facility
  • Enhance the department's ability to work as a coherent and productive team, with direct reports, clinical staff, medical, and leadership team
  • Assure fiscal accountability of all assigned programs and services in accordance with program procedures
  • Provide training and coordination of all program scheduling
  • Work closely with the Mentoring Coach to support training, shadowing, and development of new hires
  • Identify staff development and training needs and ensure that training is completed, updated, and documented
  • Monitor and ensure that staffing and resident needs are met
  • Communicate all goals as well as program/service adaptations with clear reasoning/justification as well as departmental, team, and individual roles and responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate service delivery to residents
  • Provide leadership in the formulation and implementation of treatment, training, and therapeutic objectives
  • Serve on the staff team, working to create a healthy environment to bring about positive changes in the behaviors, attitudes, and values of residents
  • Review and address critical incidents, including face-to-face assessments of restraints when on duty
  • Supervise and monitor assigned staff that supports day treatment programming and independent living activities
  • Maintain compliance with required licensing and COA rules and standards
  • Provide, coordinate, and monitor daily programming to ensure that clinically prescribed services and the individualized treatment plan (ITP) are being followed
  • Assist with individual programming for residents in accordance with the ITP
  • Participate in staff training, supervisory, and staff meetings
  • Complete the agency's approved trauma-informed training, including annual refreshers
  • Be on call by cell phone during non-work hours for crisis management with clients
  • Assume a leadership role and act as a team member of the agency as a whole in the interpretation and support of agency policies (including HR, PR, and Communications), implementation of industry best practice standards throughout assigned programs, aiding in the development/implementation of program outcome measures to ensure quality service implementation
  • Serve as a liaison between staff and other areas within the campus and agency
  • Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and performance evaluations
  • Develop a therapeutic relationship with each client
  • Complete all paperwork required by the agency in an accurate and timely manner (including but not limited to: time sheets, performance evaluations, staff injury/accident reports, CIR's client goals, and quarterly reviews)
  • Attend supervision and required meetings, training sessions, conferences, and workshops to maintain professional competency
  • Co-facilitate the weekly team meeting with the therapist
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department-specific projects
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment, and present the agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts
Requirements:
  • Ability to delegate, manage people, and evaluate staff and programs
  • Ability to physically restrain clients whose ages, heights, and weights vary
  • Supervisory skills and flexibility to supervise at multiple sites, requiring extensive driving
  • Must have strong English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to interact verbally with coworkers, representatives from outside agencies, and families
  • Requires typing and computer literacy, including Windows applications, Microsoft Word, and Excel, email, and basic database usage
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field is preferred
  • Experience working with children having emotional/behavioral/psychiatric problems is preferred
  • Supervisory experience and strong organizational skills are preferred
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance
  • Ability to take and pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test, and drug screening
